Meine Herde hat jetzt ein Ashford Traditional dazubekommen, laut Tabelle wohl so Baujahr '75 und eine echte Schönheit, mit tollen zwiebeligen Flügelhaltern und - wat 'ne tolle Sachen - 4 PASSENDEN (!) Spulen. Da wird die Garnlogistik doch gleich einfacher ;)
I found another member of my herd via the fb handspinning group! I am now proud owner of an Ashford Traditional from around 1975. A real beauty, including 4 MATCHING spools :D That should make yarn logistics much easier ;)
Das Rad wurde von Frau Wo an mich vermittlet, und sie hat auch noch einen Superschönen, flauschigen Mohair-Kammzug dazugelegt :D Da freu ich mich schon drauf :)
I got the wheel from Frau Wo and she gave this stunning mohair roving as an extra to me! Can't wait to spin it :D
Während ich am Samstag also auf das Paket gewartet habe, köchelte auch noch ein Kammzug vor sich hin, in Rosttönen mit einem Spritzer Grün:
While I was waiting for the parcel to arrive on Saturday, I dyed another wool roving with rust and green tones.
Für mein erstes und meistgenutztes Spinnrad gab's dann mal endlich einen anständigen Einzugshaken. Ein usseliges Stück Draht hatte die Jahre davor zwar seinen Zweck erfüllt, aber schön ist was anderes.
And I made a proper orifice hook for my first and often used spinning wheel. I only used a very simple piece of wire before which did the job well, but didn't really look decent ;)
Sollte ich dieses Jahr also noch eingeschneit werden, kann mir das herzlich egal sein, ich hab zu tun ;P
